EXHIBITION

MILAN, DESIGN WEEK 2012, SPAZIO ROSSANA ORLANDI

Milan, April 2012: As part of the celebrations for its 90th anniversary, MarzoratiRonchetti has launched a chair designed by Antonio Pio Saracino: Deer Chair.

The Deer Chair, unveiled at Salone del Mobile, at theGalleria Rossana Orlandi in Milan, is produced in limited edition in two different versions: mirror-polished stainless steel and acid-treated carbon steel.

Its shape reminds users of a ribcage and stag-horns. It is made from a single bended and rolled plate and comes in a limited edition of 15 pieces.

The Deer Chair recalls the ribcage and antlers of a deer. The chair is made from one sheet of mirror-polished stainless steel and it is folded in a complex shape system. The complexity of the structure enhances the idea of a form that is inside-out, and as result it strengthens the seat itself.

Less material where the seat meets the back of the chair allows for more flexibility.
