Milan, April 2015: Antonio Pio Saracino presents at the ” TRIENNALE di MILANO” the Hero Bookcase.
The HERO bookcase, designed by Antonio Pio Saracino, is inspired by Michelangelo’s David that is, on the historical level, the symbol of freedom against the enemies and the spokesman of the values of pride, courage, and determination.
The study of a masterpiece becomes an object and the object becomes an iconic totem for the house. The body is defined by plans and sections and it takes shape through various angles of perspective.
The object may remain empty as an iconic object for the house. The books fill the body and they make our sculpture a container of culture.”
